CHANNEL Nine Weather presenter Angela Tsun has resigned after being poached by rival station Channel Seven.
Tsun will replace Seven’s weather presenter Natalia Cooper, who has resigned to move to Sydney.
Tsun’s new role, which starts in January 2013, will also include reading Seven’s 4.30pm news bulletin.
Seven News Director Howard Gretton paid tribute to Natalia Cooper.
“Natalia is the consummate professional,” she said.
“We respect her decision to pursue her ambitions in the East.
“We believe Angela Tsun will be a welcome addition to our award winning team.”
Tsun replaced Cooper at Nine in 2009 when she left to travel overseas.
Speculation abounds over who will replace Tsun.
A Twitter campaign called #BringBackCandy, is calling for former WIN weekend weather presenter Candice Barnes to take on the role.
“I have been asked nothing! Appreciating all the Twitter love, though! #awwshucks,” Barnes tweeted.
