FROM multi-coloured sand to strangely-shaped boulders, take a look at some of the most amazing beaches around the world.
From multi-coloured sand to strangely-shaped boulders and record-breaking shores, there are some amazing beaches around the world.
Take Pfeiffer Beach, located at Big Sur, California, for example - its sand features streaks of purple due to manganese particles.
Don't like purple? Well the sand at Hawaii's Papakolea Beachis green, and at Palapa Beach in the Bahamas it's pink.
Alternatively you could check out the huge rocks at Boulders Beach, Cape Town. Or if you're after an even more unique location there's always the awe-inspiring glass beach at Fort Bragg, California.
However you don't have to endure long-haul flights to see some spectacular beaches - Hyams Beach in Shoalhaven, NSW, is recognised as having the whitest sand in the world, according to the Guinness Book of Records.
