AN ordinary dinner date for a US couple turned into a 300-person flash mob proposal that closed down the streets of a small Pennsylvania town.
As Joey Lancianese and his girlfriend Alex De Loia met friends from dinner outside a local restaurant random strangers began dancing in the street, with Mr Lancianese soon joining in.
Ms De Loia told KDKA News: "We met them there, and then they started a flash mob... I didn't have dinner that night."
Mr Lancianese spent two months rehearsing the elaborate proposal, telling Ms De Loia he was playing softball.
But in fact he was putting together a 37 minute flash mob routine to a mash up of songs including Bruno Mars' "Marry You" and 4 Non Blondes' "What's Going On?", the Daily Mail reports.
After the epic dance scenes, Mr Lancianese finally got down on one knee to propose to his girlfriend of six years asking "So Alexandra Caitlin DeLoia, will you marry me?".
And of course, she said yes.
"It was amazing," Ms De Loia said.
"It's been a long time coming and it was so worth the wait."
