Titans drop out of Tuqiri race
8:25 AM March 1

The Gold Coast Titans have confirmed they have withdrawn their interest in signing dual international Lote Tuqiri.

The club has notified Tuqiri's business mentor Les Ross that they would will not be submitting a formal offer for the Wallaby and New South Wales Waratah.

Titans coach John Cartwright said the club was focussed on junior development and player retention.

"We've been in a situation where we've had to weigh up whether the outlay is worth the benefit we get. Once you get stuck in a bidding war it's very hard," Cartwright said.
