POLICE have blocked off two suburban streets in Kingston Beach as they negotiate with a man who has barricaded himself in a house since 9.30 this morning. About 15 police officers are at the Windsor St property, including members of the Special Operation Group. Kingston Police Inspector Ian Lindsay said the 29-year-old man did not have access to firearms, but would not disclose if any other weapons were in the property. Insp Lindsay said police were notified by a family member about 9.30. Neighbours have been notified about the incident but have not been asked to leave their homes. Insp Lindsay said the man did not pose any threat. He said police have concerns for the man's welfare and are working towards a safe resolution of the incident.
