SATURDAY'S big AFL clash between North Melbourne and West Coast at Blundstone Arena is officially a sell out.

SATURDAY'S big AFL clash between North Melbourne and West Coast at Blundstone Arena is officially a sell out. Cricket Tasmania confirmed the news this morning, with the Kangaroos expected to release more details in the next few hours. After just over 11,000 people turned out for the Roos historic first match at Bellerive back in April, a figure of around 15,000 is expected this weekend. There will also be plenty of big names in the crowd, with AFL chairman Mike Fitzpatrick, the league chief operating officer Gillon McLachlan and former Australian cricket captain and Tasmanian Ricky Ponting all confirmed guests. The contest is also likely to be a hard fought affair, with North Melbourne jumping into the top eight following impressive wins against Adelaide and St Kilda in the past two weeks, while the Eagles are entrenched in the top two and remain a premiership favourite.
