A man is due to appear in court charged with the attempted murder of a woman at St Marys in Sydney's west.
POLICE say the 35-year-old woman, who was repeatedly stabbed in a domestic row, was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital.
She underwent surgery and is in a serious but stable condition, police said in a statement.
A 26-year-old man, who was known to the woman, was later arrested at a home in Redfern. He was taken to Redfern Police Station and charged with attempt murder.
He was refused bail and is expected to appear in Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.
