BRING on the battle of the Australian blokes for the hearts of music fans with Angus Stone leading the pack with his new solo album Broken Brights.
The record has reigned at the top of iTunes since its release on Friday and could be the next local album to debut at No.1 on the ARIA charts.
You Am I frontman Tim Rogers wins the best album title of the year with his upcoming Rogers Sings Rogerstein which drops on August 24, which he will introduce with a run of shows at the Lizottes restaurants from August 9.
Guy Sebastian continues to push the deadline for his new album which he had hoped to have out last month.
His labelmates Timomatic and Reece Mastin are also in the race to finish their records for release in the business end of the year.
Paul Mac announced on Facebook that he has wrapped recording his long-awaited album which is set to feature a mix of well-known guests and fresh singers he has unearthed.
Winning fans with his debut solo effort is Boy & Bear drummer and vocalist Tim Hart, whose stunning Milling The Wind is out now.
Hart, who is back writing with his bandmates for their second offering, said only one of the Boy & Bear blokes missed out on a cameo appearance on Milling The Wind.
"Killian (Gavin) asked me why I did the record when he was on his honeymoon," Hart said, laughing.
"It was the only two weeks we all had off from Boy and Bear. But he did record the demos for me and got the ball rolling."
