Can I access the internet via my mobile from anywhere?
In order to surf the internet via your mobile you need to be connected to the Optus Wireless Broadband network. At this stage it is only available in metropolitan and CBD Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. For further coverage updates you can view our coverage maps.
How is this product different to other wireless products?
Optus Mobile Data utilises HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access). HSDPA enables data to be carried at higher speeds via the 3G/HSDPA network. This essentially means you can access the internet at a faster rate.
Does it cost extra to connect to the Optus Wireless Broadband Network?
There are no additional costs involved with connecting the Optus Wireless Broadband network. All costs can be found within your Optus Wireless Broadband rate plan.
Will I be able to explore the internet on my mobile when I am inside a building?
Yes, if you can currently access the 3G network from within a building then you will be able to access the internet.
