OPTUS "Michael Bublé" COMPETITION
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
- Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of these conditions of entry.
- Entry is limited to residents of Western Australia, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales who are Optus Mobile Digital (GSM) and/or Optus Internet customers ("Entrants"). Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Optus Service Provider and Optus Corporate and Government customers are also ineligible to enter. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner.
- To qualify for entry, Entrants must complete the online entry form available at www.optuszoo.com.au/competitions or via the Optus Zoo mobile WAP site. Entrants must answer the question "Why Would You Like to Meet Michael Bublé?" in 25 words or less. Entrants who qualify for entry will be entered into the competition when the online form is submitted. Entrants must have a valid, active Optus Mobile Digital (GSM) and/or Optus Internet account that is not overdue for payment, at the time of judging to be eligible to win. Multiple entries permitted. Limit of one prize per winner.
- The Promoter reserves the right, at anytime, to verify the validity of entries and Entrants (including an Entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify an Entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these conditions of entry. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
Promotion commences at 12:00am (AEDST) on 01/04/2008. Final entries close at 11:59pm (AEST) on 16/05/2008. Entries not received by 11:59pm (AEST) on 16/05/2008 or not completed in accordance with these conditions will not be eligible to win. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries. Valid entries for all prizes will be judged on 21/05/2008.
The entry from each of Western Australia, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales judged to be most creative will be selected as the winner for that state. Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Each winner will be notified by email and/or phone and the name of each winner of the prize will be published on www.optuszoo.com.au/competitions.
- The winner from each of Western Australia, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales win a prize valued at up to $200. The prize includes: two tickets to the Michael Bublé Concert and two Meet-and-Greet Passes in each winner's capital city in their respective state (Western Australia: Perth (Challenge Stadium), Victoria: Melbourne (Rod Laver arena), South Australia: Adelaide (Entertainment Centre), New South Wales: Sydney (Entertainment Centre), and Queensland: Brisbane (Entertainment Centre)). Prize must be taken within one week of the draw date and is subject to available concert dates in each city. Accommodation, airfares, spending money, meals, taxes, travel, transfers, insurance, items of a personal nature, in-room charges, and other ancillary costs are the liability of each the prize winners.
- The total prize pool is valued at $1000.
- Prizes are not transferable, upgradeable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
- If the winner of the prize is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner's parent or guardian.
- Prizes are subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual service providers.
- If any prize (or any part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter in its discretion reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize of equal value and/or specification.
- In the event, for any reason whatsoever, the winner of any prize cannot or does not take the prize, or an element of the prize, on the date stipulated by the Promoter, then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the prize winner, and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.
- Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these terms and conditions; (e) if the Michael Bublé concert tickets are cancelled for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (f) any tax liability incurred by a winner or Entrant; or (g) use of a prize.
- If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned due to any reason, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
- The Promoter collects Entrants' personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the Entrant may not participate in the promotion. By entering the promotion, unless otherwise advised, each Entrant consents to the information they submit with their entry being entered into a database and the Promoter and its related bodies corporate may use this information in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the Entrant including sending the Entrant electronic messages. Promotion will be stored at the office of the Promoter. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at their address set out below.
